self-cleaning of the future

The year is 2022.

My kitchen appliance knows how to clean itself.

Today I learned how to use the self-cleaning feature on my oven.  I know it's ridiculously easy, but somehow I've never used it for various reasons:

1. It's way too hot in Florida to use this feature.
2. It's easier to wipe the oven after using it.
3. I rarely use the oven.
4. It's intimidating to turn my oven up to one billion degrees in case my whole life catches fire.

It was cool enough (mostly) to leave the back door open today to disperse the smokiness.  My AC turned on only once during this procedure.

I feel so grown up!
